Description
When you find yourself face to face with these immense mammals, time stands still.
I will remember this encounter in the Gaspé mountains all my life.
I have never been so close to a male moose of this size.
Once again, staying still and camouflaged means taking the risk that the animal will approach too close, of its own accord.
This may seem respectful towards it, but you have to be able to back away without scaring it if it approaches beyond the reasonable limit.
Faced with this colossus that ignored me and made me feel tiny, I was able to take pictures that I will probably never be able to do again.
It was a unique opportunity to be so close to this moose, in its natural environment.
